December goals

This is an easy list … quilt and bind as many as possible to keep my UFO number from exploding. I started the year with 22 UFOs and finished 12 which sounds really good until you look at my new start list. There will be at least one addition to this list since I’ve still got my December Precut Challenge top to piece.

The good news is the only new start in pieces is the current project. The bad news is my UFO list is going to be significantly higher if I don’t get a bunch of these done by the end of the day on Dec 31. I’ve convinced Keith to spend the entire month of December in Tampa rather than heading back here right after Christmas so that will give me a little more time.

I did see the dentist today and have a temporary fix to the broken crown. I’ll have to see how quickly they can get me in at home for a permanent fix. Right now my appointment is for the 9th but this repair isn’t expected to go that long. I managed another couple hours in the sewing room before fixing Keith’s delayed Thanksgiving meal today. He didn’t seem to mind the wait.

  1. Your meal looks exactly like mine except I made mashed potatoes too. And it was delicious. I boiled the turkey carcass and made broth for my dogs meals. Two of our rescues are over 14 years old so each meal I add broth to the dry dog food. They get their turkey dinner too. I don’t record my quilts and UFO’s, it would be a stressor for me, but I do see them. I’m getting them done slowly. With my travel plans and renovating a house, quilting is not on my list except for binding. I had hoped to long arm several smaller quilts but I’m just not sure I’ll make it.

  2. Hi Mary, I was wondering if you would mine sending me the info on the chair you use at your sewing machine. I’ve decided to look for a new chair instead of sitting on two pillows.

  3. Glad you and Keith were finally able to enjoy your Thanksgiving meal! Praying for your abscess to heal on your face and for your temporary crown to hold in place until it’s time for the final crown. Just keep after those quilt projects, I think you will get your UFO list back where you want it! You are a very productive person!!!
