Somehow I didn’t make it into the sewing room yet today but I still plan to get up there an hour after Keith goes to bed and get a binding on to stitch down tonight. I did spend the afternoon in the kitchen making potato salad, deviled eggs, and baking some Christmas cookies (the cookies were not from scratch this year with the ongoing challenges – we’ve still got things out of the pantry and cabinets and in bins while we wait for what is hopefully the last mouse to run across one of the traps!) We’ll pair my efforts with honey baked ham for our traditional Christmas Eve Picnic. I hope you’re able to safely maintain some of your traditions this year too.
Finn is making sure that Keith doesn’t forget to feed him! My velcro puppy is Keith’s best friend at dinner time.
Merry Christmas to you and Keith! We are having our usual hors d’oeuvres for our Christmas Eve supper. Tomorrow will be seafood. It doesn’t feel right to be just the 2 of us, but will count our blessings anyway. And we’ll need to figure out when to deliver the grandkids’ gifts.
That chair looks nice & comfy with the pull-out foot rest. Do you know the name of the ship in the background? Wishing you and your family a safe and healthy Christmas and for the New Year 2021
Merry Christmas to you, Keith, and Finn. Enjoy your picnic
Finn is so cute!! What type of harness is he wearing. It looks comfortable and I am looking for something like that for our new puppy. She hates wearing a collar so we are slowly working on that. A harness for walks will be the next step. Your Christmas Eve dinner sounds yummy. My son and his wife and granddaughter came over and we had pre-ordered take out dinner from a local restaurant we would like to stay in business. It is on a lake and very close to our house. And the food is wonderful. We had their prime rib dinner and everything tasted fantastic. I was even able to order a pomegranate kamikaze martini to go. We didn’t get to see our daughters and their families but we did have a Zoom get together and everyone is doing well and I am very thankful for that. Merry Christmas and happy sewing. I will be spending Christmas Day in my sewing room.
