Assembled

The Autumn Windmills top is done. Thanks for the input on the border … most of you seemed to feel like I did that the darker one was a better frame for these blocks.

And since I just can’t waste the leftover bits of the strip sets, there’s a doll quilt too. I’ve got the pieces sewn together already and I’ll put a small border on it tomorrow.

I’ve set aside the other leaf print with a green and a neutral fabric and will probably use it for one of the 3 fabric quilts using the leaf as the focus fabric.

  1. Windmill quilt looks great! The border is perfect. Hope you are still feeling better even with sewing again. Take care! Judy

  2. Oh yes – that turned out beautifully! Your doll quilts are such a great way to use up scraps. Do you have a special place to donate doll quilts? I’ve made a few over the years but as my granddaughters are outgrowing that doll phase I haven’t been sure what to do with them.

  3. Love visiting your blog. I know you call these small doll quilts and have two willingrecipients. If you ever need another destination I know that NICUs accepttiny blankets and there are “angel” organizations for still born babies. Just some thoughts. Love your great ideas.
