Ready to donate!

Since I’d found my energy after a slow morning, I decided to keep going and got the afghans ready …

The Bears and bear quilts ready …

And all the quilts I’d washed this week are now ready for donation. I’ll take the afghans, bears, and a few quilts to Chris on Sunday to be donated at Safe Path, an organization that works with abused kids. The other 13 quilts will be donated locally though the Big Canoe guild and I’ve written and asked them to meet me on Friday so I can pass them on.

  • 8 afghans
  • 7 bears with small quilts
  • 17 quilts

  3. This is fantastic! You are a definite inspiration, and those little bears are calling my name:)

  4. You are so generous. I feel such a sense of accomplishment when I pass on a large amount of donations at one time. It makes me feel good, and my house looks much tidier!

  5. So many gifts of comfort and support. The bears and quilts will be loved and treasured.
    Enjoy your weekend.

  6. Just wanted to say “thank you”. I didn’t know I could order bears in bulk from Dollar Tree. I make toys and quilts for a local church pantry (don’t belong to church). Since learning from you I have donated 48 bears wrapped in doll quilts and tied with ribbons. The volunteers there just love them and they don’t know they owe it all to a post from you. Thank you!

  7. How good that must feel to get all that done and to make all those people happy!
