I’m not sure if it’s Chris who turns 40 today or ME!!! How in the world am I old enough to have a 40 year old son?!
But rather than focusing on that … I’ll focus on the 40 wonderful years of memories I have and celebrate the person he’s become in those years.
Happy Birthday Chris!! Love you SO much!

Nothing makes me feel older than when my KIDS have a birthday! The oldest will be 46 in a couple of months, and two weeks later his sister will be 42! I don’t feel old enough to have two middle-aged kids! Happy birthday Chris….you’re such a good son to your parents!
Time goes by so fast. Happy birthday Chris. 🎊🎂🎉🎁
The best job I ever had was being a mom! Now I see them being wonderful parents to my grandchildren …..and now great grandchildren. I don’t remember the time going by in a blink. Thanx for your blog. You keep it real.
My youngest will turn 40 in December, and I feel the same as you! How did we get to be old enough to have middle aged kids? Happy birthday to your son!
Happy birthday, Chris!!
I love your family photos. I feel like your family is my family in a way. Thanks for sharing.
Happy birthday! After having two sons, I have always felt that birthdays should be for the mom- we did all the work, and all they did was show up! 😉 I cry every time we sing Happy Birthday as well- hard to accept that time goes on. But, like you, (I’m sure) I am so proud of the men my two (goofballs) have become.
Laughed when I read this! DD turned 40 in October too, I’d say I was just a child when I had her but–I was not!
