A new start

I’m kind of boring when it comes to the blankets I crochet … I have favorites and I keep going back to them. Don’t tell Mo but I bought some yarn in VA and thought I was going to use some of that for the next blanket but I had this one all ready to go so that’s what I grabbed tonight when the hockey game came on.

Another Linen Stitch blanket with Mandala Ombré yarn. It’s such an easy one to work on while I watch the games.

The Bolts have lost their last two games now … hoping Thursday’s game goes better.

  1. I really like the linen stitch crochet blanket too. It turns out great and is easy to make. Hide your new yarn from Mo.

  2. Hedy’s advice to “hide your yarn from Mo” made me chuckle. My go-to comfort pattern is the Granny Stripe. I think when using an Ombré yarn, it’s best to use a small consistent stitch that lets the color shine. The same goes for my scrap quilts. A simple pattern lets the fabric get all the attention. 😊

  3. Mo knows! She walks into the closet and sees what is different. Good luck on getting away with anything.

Love the linen stitch. You use it to make beautiful blankets.

  4. I think all of the crochet blankets are beautiful with the ombre yarn that you make. My son calls me a fabric hoarder, so I keep the door closed to my room with the fabric in it. On a sidenote glad that you and Mom are doing well

  5. Gorgeous! I can knit while watching TV but haven’t yet mastered crochet while watching TV. Maybe I need to try with a simple single stitch blanket like yours!

  6. When a favorite pattern yields such great results, then it’s definitely OK to stick with it. That is really pretty yarn with a masculine feel to it.
