Quilted

I’ve got a closet full of tops waiting for quilting and I’ve tried to set a simple goal of quilting one per week when I’m not traveling … that’s not always working out for me but I did get one loaded and quilted today.

This is a scrappy 16 patch from leftover Jelly Roll strips inspired by Stephanie. I’d been collecting those leftover strips in a bin but until she posted about her 16 patch quilt they’d just sat there.

Pantograph is Halcyon.

I’ve got 2 needing binding now … and I’d like to get another one or two quilted and bound before the next local guild meeting on April 1st so I’ll have a few to take them for donation. I have to pace myself with the longarm because of some complications with my arm following surgery and radiation but this is doable!!!

  1. Great quilt! Halcion-great name for a panto 😉 I’m sorry you’re having post-rad arm issues.

    Happy quilting!

  2. The quilt looks lovely.
I’m sorry about issues with your arm. I’ve had issues with my left arm after I broke my shoulder July 2023. I’ve regained a lot of the strength I once had much of the mobility but I have issues with rolling the quilt on my longarm. I’ve regained my ability (such as it is!) with free arming and have recently tried pantos, but I dislike working from the back.

  3. It was so great to see the caution in your comment. You can do this, but if something happens that makes it impossible oh well. Life is real and we don’t get to script it.
