Puttering

In the last couple days, I got some knitting done, a quilt trimmed, another one loaded on the longarm, and a binding on a quilt that’s ready to hand stitch – that’s 2 quilts ready for me to stitch the bindings.

I’ve pulled one of Valerie’s tops and want to add to it to make it a little larger … and that Jelly Roll is still waiting for me.

I won’t be using the longarm for a week or so thanks to my port insertion today but I’m looking forward to some piecing this next week.

As usual, Keith took good care of me – taking me to my procedure and then home again, waiting on me hand and foot 🖐️ & 🦶. I’m lucky to have him with me through all of this.

  6. I’ve only met you online but you fill me with daily inspiration. I have also gone through C but one time, so I can only imagine the strength you have and the faith and love you embody too. I wish you peace in this chapter and that you are surrounded with all the loving support that you can imagine, love Elizabeth, London, UK xx

  7. Yes, things happen for a reason. His job coming to an end gives him this time to be with you during your procedures and to give you TLC. My husband’s job also came to an abrupt end. At the time we were devastated but it all worked out.

  8. Indeed you are lucky to have Keith. I believe you have been a help to others during tough times and Keith has seen it and is returning the love. You still help through making quilts, hats, blankets. Lady you are a gift and now the gift is being returned. Keep smiling because it looks so good on you.

  9. Ports are a remarkable improvement in healthcare, thanks to scientific research. (I know you know). I’m sorry you’ve got more treatment in front of you. Your smile says it all-bring it so I can keep going 💗

  10. I am glad everything worked out well. You are special to have such great care but you set a great example taking car of him when the tables were turned. A wonderful couple.

  11. It’s so nice to have a husband to help you through the hard spots. I have lung cancer and for the past two years my husband has been there thru all of the hospitalizations, tests, chemo, radiation, etc. He normally goes to his workshop everyday but if I look the least bit like I need him at home he is right there! You and Keith are in our thoughts and prayers. Hope all goes well for you.

  12. Oh Mary, I read your recent health update last week …. I had to step back for a few days. You keep fighting, as you know many are sending prayers and good vibes your way. That includes me. I told our mutual friend to watch over you, keep you safe and with Keith and families.—Julia
