We got drove home yesterday, it was a long day but I did stay up to watch the Viking’s win!

We enjoyed our visit with Mom and celebrating her 94th birthday with the family. It was nice that all 6 of us could be there.

Not much got done today but some knitting … one hat finished, one hat started, another one worked on, and one discarded.

I have my next chemo treatment tomorrow so I also did some cooking … fixing meals for the next few days and a couple to freeze…. and I got some rest. The sewing room is calling my name but it will probably be 2-3 days before I get back down there.

  1. Love the family photo. Your mom looks content surrounded by family. You haven’t lost your smile. Good luck with the chemo.

  2. ‘Not much got done today’…… you achieved a huge amount, especially with having been away. Yes, it may not have been as much as you wanted to or would have done before chemo, but it’s still a lot.

  3. Just take it easy on yourself. I understand your mind wants to do more but listen to your body. It needs to be taken care of. It is wonderful that you got to see your mom and siblings. You are always in my prayers.

  4. Happiness is celebrating family times with the whole family. What caused you to discard a hat?

  5. What a wonderful family photo! Glad you got to all be there for your mom’s 94th birthday. Hope your treatment this week goes smoothly, and that you can get some rest after. Based on those yarn colors there are some beautiful hats in the works again.

  6. I love how you have a couple of hats going at one time. I need to get more than one of each sized needle so I can have a couple going with different patterns. I too knit while watching TV. Gotta keep the hands busy. Good luck with this next chemo tx.

  7. Wonderful family picture! Your Mom is doing very well to be 94 – Wow ❤️ Hope your next treatment goes well. Have been praying for recovery. Beth in AL

  8. Wow! How do you have 3 (4) knitting projects going at once? I have a lot more quilting projects going than that, but it seems like it would be easier to put quilting aside and go back to it than it would knitting. How do you know where you left off? I am a wannabe knitter so I really have no idea. That’s on my 2026 list to learn to knit.
As always, you amaze me with all that you accomplish!! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
