Saw the orthopedic doctor today and I’ve got 8 weeks in an ankle brace and PT 2 x per week. I’d hoped for fewer medical appointments in June so I could focus on my quilting but I’ll have to work around these and the others now.
After my appointment I did take some me time at the library. I have a nice cozy corner I like there.

Then tonight some more knitting. A couple more chemo hats in progress.

No appointments tomorrow so I do plan to get a little time downstairs and work on assembling the RWB rectangle top. I got half of it done before I went to Va and I’m ready to get that one assembled!!
I’ve also confirmed my lunch date on Friday with Chris after I drop off the donations at Safe Path! That’s an added bonus for my hour plus drive down south!
So happy that PT and the brace are all you need. I know how much that wrecks evry plan but…
On the crafting front love both hats and am excited about the RWB quilt you are doing.
Sorry about the extra time with brace and PT but glad you had some library time and some upcoming family time.
Just think of it the PT will strengthen the ankle to help prevent further injury. I know a glass half full of water thought process. I know it is a pain for more appointments.
A brace and PT is definitely a step up from the boot. My grandson Jonah broke his lower leg last fall in the last football game of the year. He spent 8 weeks with a knee scooter, and was really happy when he graduated to the walking boot. Guess it’s all in perspective. LOL I’m sure your healing will continue smoothly.
Double edge right? No surgery-great. 8 more weeks to heal-ugh.
Cheers to meeting up with Chris!!!
you have my complete sympathy….been there done that…prayers for quick resolution…and enough already!!!
Bummer about the extra appointments but I hope you are, at least, mostly pain free now.
The library has always been a happy place for me. Remember back in the days of searching the card catalog? I do miss how quiet the library used to be. The two biggest changes in my local libraries that I am still trying to get used to are 1) no quiet voices (people use their outdoor voices!) I guess they assume if you want quiet, you can put on noise canceling headphones.
2) fewer books (our libraries are well used and have been remodeled a couple times in last few decades. Each time, more books/shelves have been removed and more tables and computers have appeared…..and of course, the people sitting at these tables talk out loud!) I still love my libraries but gosh I am showing my age!
