The car is doing well on the drive today, thank goodness, in spite of the hit and run the other night. With luck, we should be home soon!
We were lucky that the license plate number we were able to give the police and the fact that the driver was young … probably collage age … was enough for them to track down the owner and driver of the car. The car is owned by the father and the son was driving it.
Our insurance company will be able to get the info they need from the police case file. It’s going to be a hassle to get it repaired but we’ll deal with it.
My insurance company has been a dud. They had my wrong address and they had affiliates in various parts of the country but nothing united. I sure hope yours is OK. Safe travels.
Glad that y’all were able to get the information needed for the insurance to take care of things for you. I have a feeling that the father isn’t a happy camper (at least I hope he’s not-hard to tell these days).
