I’m not one for crumb piecing but I do save small scraps which sometimes make it into a Strips and Strings log cabin quilt. However, I do like this combination of crazy (crumb) and rail fence blocks.

I think this is a neat way to use up scraps. I just watched the Marine Quilt on You Tube do this technique. I do think I would like some sashing and corner stones between the scrappy block when I try it out.
It is an interesting mix of blocks. Somehow it reminds me of irregular and regular field patterns.
Oh i love how this looks–great combo for repeating colorways…hugs, Julierose
Today I got a chance to catch up with your blog. Love that you are in Maine. TX summers are long and hot (just now beginning to change but with rainy muggy days.) Your Maine photos are wonderful. I was raised in NJ/NY till my late teens, and we vacationed in New England for 2 weeks for several years. I just love the rugged Maine coast in your photos, a feast for the eyes. Glad you were able to go. Finn is now a seasoned traveler.
