All 8 of the Happy Block tops I brought back from Maine have been quilted and bound – several have been donated and the rest will be washed and go back to Maine with me in a couple weeks to be donated.
This was #7

and this was #8

If you’re interested in making Happy Block quilts I have instructions for 4 versions on my website.
Happy Blocks for Maine – these have the larger centers like the ones above.
Happy Blocks for HeartStrings – these have a smaller center and were from our first HeartStrings project years ago
Twisted Happy Blocks – a variation I used during our first project
Happy Blocks from Charms – my version using a Charm Square pack
I love the cheerful frame colours in the first quilt – and the purples in the second one are gorgeous!
Thanks for the pattern links too – these are great for the quilts that I make for the local Pediatric CCU.
Seeing pictures of your “Happy Blocks” quilts & getting links to the patterns makes this girl happy, too! Who knew such a simple block could be so stunning in a quilt? Great job!
These are so bright and cheerful.
