Sold

We had 6 wonderful years at the Tampa townhouse and now we’re ready to move on. After a stressful few months and several delays, the closing was today and the house is officially sold.

I can’t tell you what a relief this is to me and I’ve told Keith we’re never moving again … of course, by that I mean that if we need to live somewhere else for his job for a period of time I’m fine renting somewhere and keeping our home in Big Canoe. This is where we plan to end our days!

  1. Congratulations! I know you must be excited to have just one place to take care of! I hope you two take some time to CELEBRATE. Buying and selling properties can be so stressful, no matter how many times you’ve done it. There’s always SOMETHING that comes up…

  2. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!! Cheers to you 🙂 I’d celebrate with you but I’ve already had my 2nd 😉

    YIPPEE!!!!!!

    • Thanks! It was such a big relief and I find myself just randomly realizing at different times during the day that I’m really done with all the Tampa stuff!

  3. Congratulations! That is one of the benefits of both being retired. We moved to Connecticut 27 years ago for my husbands job, both of our children and 4 grands live within 20 minutes of us. We are not moving, unless our health mandates it. We are very fortunate.

  4. Congratulations! I know it much be a big weight off of you. Missed you (and most of the other Maine retreaters) this week. We realized today that we never went to Harrasekeet all week. We accomplished a lot for only being five of us but loo
k forward to a more normal sew-in next year.

  5. Congratulations. Selling a home is more stressful than buying, in my opinion. Your current location is beautiful and you describe it as peaceful. Lots of nature and outdoor opportunities. And beautiful scenery.

  6. Congratulations!! I am sure that is a huge relief!! It does seem like you are both very happy in Big Canoe. And the fact that this is your second time living there that pretty much says it all. It is a very beautiful place to live!!!

  7. Oh, Mary, I can hear your relief across the miles. So happy the saga of the Tampa condo is OVER🙌🙌

  8. Congratulations! I told my husband the same thing – one move ago. And at some point we’ll need to decide where we want to retire. Maybe it will be here and maybe it won’t.

  9. Congratulations on the sale. Happiness abounds, finally. Such a relief to have it finally out of your hands.

  10. That is a beautiful house you sold – I’m sure the new owners will be very happy living there. Now you can spend more time watching your new ‘friends’ passing by your window whilst you sew 🙂

  11. Mary, I’m so happy for you. We went through that 30 years ago. We lived in St. Louis it took three years to sell our home.We are never moving again. Enjoy your now home
