Keith picked me up at the airport yesterday and we stopped for dinner on the way home … I was ready to relax and ordered a large draft beer … it was our first time at this restaurant and I didn’t realize their large was the size of a pitcher but I put a good dent in it.

I’ve been cuddling with Finn and reading and relaxing some today but I’ve started up the packing process. Keith helped me get the tables and ironing board I’m taking to VA up to the garage and I started searching for projects. I’d already decided which ones I was going to work on so I just needed to choose the fabrics and precuts.

This bin has fabric for 2 windmill quilts, 2 boxed squares, 1 framed 9 patch plus an extra set of fat quarters, 2 kits and 3 of my 3 fabric bundles. That’s enough for 11 quilts … I’ll be coming home some time in June so of course I won’t have pieced this many but I like to have options when I’m starting a new project.

Most of my time this week will be spent packing and running to appointments but I have a binding here waiting and I need to work on my gift for our family exchange. I sat down to stitch the binding on and glanced out my window … everything has gotten SO green in the 2 weeks I was gone!

  1. I love your view out the window, so green. Last week I had a pink and white dogwood tree to look at and now it’s iris everywhere. Always pack more than you think because you are a prolific quilter. Happy packing.

  2. I’m so glad you will have sewing space in your home away from home, and plenty of projects to keep you busy when not with family.
