One yarny UFO finished up, one to go before the end of the year. I’m doing better with my knit and crochet finishes this year than with my quilting ones.
I did not get down to the sewing room today – thanks to errands and appointments – but I did finish up this scarf watching the Bolts play tonight. We’re behind by 1 but plenty of time left and I’m hoping for a win.
Pattern is Black Bear Scarfie found free on the LionBrand website at this link.

Beautiful scarf Mary. Love the stitch pattern. Next year will be a lot better on the quilting. You need to take it slow and easy right now.
i love that scarf. great stitch pattern, i agree with anne. once you have fully recovered (and it can take up to a year omg!), you will be back up to quilting your brains out again. never fear. different times for different hobbies. hugs, patti in florida
Pretty scarf and looks nice and squishy! Belated happy birthday to your mom and to Mo the cutie- can’t remember if commented on that post or not – but can’t have too many birthday wishes;)
So pretty in that rich brown color.
Oh Mary, I love this pattern! I have been looking for a quick pattern to use on my odd yarn skeins of different weights to make smaller scarves to wear with sweaters. This looks like it will be perfect. Thank you again for the inspiration (and I love your bear/monkey baby quilts from your previous post!). Happy Holidays!
Looks soft and cozy.
The stitch also looks like it has a soft hand.
So you did find a place to stop that was right. The scarf is great!
I really like this one, maybe it’s the color? It just looks great.
